 Torridon Mountains - Wester Ross
Torridon Mountains a selection of mountains in the Wester ross area just up from the Isle of Skye on the West Coast of Scotland.

Not as isolated as some parts of Scotland, Torridon in Wester Ross is a hillwalkers paradise, simply for the reason that it is relatively remote but one can have a small nestlings of villages at hand, within 5 or 6 miles from each other and thus, a comfort zone for people's needs. The facilities are adequate for what you may require, yes some pubs too, however, the sense of remoteness here is enough to have you thinking that you have really gotten away from the maddening crowd and I am sure that if you desire peace and quiet, then go no further. I have to add that the journey taken to even get here is rewarding in itself. Sample, Eilean Donan Castle, The Five Sisters of Kintail and the beauties of Loch Carron if you are coming from Glasgow and Fort William. Sample, if you are coming from Inverness, the historic towns of Beauly, Achnasheen, Strathpeffer and Muir of Ord.
