The River Spey rises in Loch Spey on Corrieyairack Forest, 10 miles south of Fort Augustus. It flows East past Laggan, then North East through Newtonmore and Kingussie, passing through Stathspey and into Loch Insh. It continues North East winding by Aviemore (pictured), and Grantown on Spey then turning Northwards towards Charlestown of Aberlour then past Rothes to Spey Bay on Moray First at Kingston.
I just had to have this walk while on my Cairngorms walking experience. Leaving the campsite I didn't really have to walk far but it was one of the most relaxing stolls I could ever ask for, yeah stroll. This is without doubt one of the most relaxing walks you could ever ask for! |
