Hillwalking Glen Luss - Scottish Walks.
Situated in the Council area of Argyll and Bute, Glen Luss Valley carries douglas water east to Loch lomond at the village of Luss. From the valley looking north you can see the mountains of Beinn Eich at 702, near the village of Edentaggart and to the south Beinn Chaorach at 713 and Beinn Ruisg at 593. Including Edentaggart to the north you have the villages of Luss, Camstraddan and Aldochlay which all lie west of Loch Lomond on the A82.
Near the cut off for Luss on the A82, turn left at the Glen Luss signpost. The road rises steadily up the glen, with a small area of forestry dissected by Luss Water and Coille eughain Hill on the left and on the right by Bienn Dubh. The road travels for about 2 miles. then a path can be taken alongside Luss Water for a further 2 miles. Unfortunately a route to Loch Long is not possible. To the right, at this point Doune Hill is the main feature on the landscape.
